This has been my staple breakfast for months. The best thing about this green smoothie recipe is that it’s healthy, protein filled and cheap. And as smoothies goes, it’s also very quick and easy to prepare.
The banana will get you a dose of zinc, peanut butter will not only insure you get some proteins, but also some essentyial amino acids as well as antioxidants. And the super-healthy spinach will gives you a great dose of vitamin A, vitamin K and folate; vitamins that are sometimes hard to find in other foods.
Ingredients:
1 large banana (or 2 small ones)
1 tbsp of natural peanut butter
About 1/2 cup of baby spinach, or 2 cubes of frozen spinach
Blend everything together until smooth. Add a little bit of water if too thick.
Enjoy!
